are the pine cones on an artifical xmas tree real?
we want to buy a new artificial xmas tree and have seen a very nice pre-lit one. It has pine cones on and my daughter is very "sensitive" to pine - gives her headaches/blocked nose etc. Does anyone know - are they real pine cones they put on artificial tress or are they as artificial as the tree itself? The are very brittle and snap easy (we broke one off!) and don't appear to "smell" of pine but i'm reluctant to bring it into the house without being as sure as we can be.

my mom has a pine allergy
if your daughter nose stuffs up when around pine, gets itchy eyes, welts when she touches pine, its an allergy - she should also have trouble with adhesives, they contain pine pitch - even bandaids
