What is the worst Holiday Gift you ever received? Now tell me what you did with it...?
I just made a bag up for the Salvation Army with all sorts of stuff I don't want or need.
I told all my family I don't like candles with "food" smells....I get a bunch of candles: Pumpkin Spice, Gingerbread, Country Kitchen (smells like spices too) and a sour apple room spray. I know I don't sound very nice for putting down the gifts, but wouldn't you listen if someone told you that they didn't like something. I know I would. I'd rather give something that they could use and love, instead of putting in a drawer and regifting it at the next opportunity, or throwing it away. What are your thoughts on this? Would you feel better about it by giving it away to a charity like I am going to do?

I don't know if it was the worst gift, the UGLIEST yes. Some one at work gave me a huge vase. I really have never figured out how to describe it. Seems that is was a little expensive, but just because it cost a lot don't mean it can be ugly. Well it sat in it's box for a couple years, one of those thing you see it and say oh I have to get that thing out and give it to charity, and it never gets done. Finally we met this new family and their house was really ultra modern. the colors they had in their home was right in line with the vase so for Christmas I wrapped it up and gave it to them. They loved it and it was put in a place of prominence. New Years we were invited to join them for their annual party but we had other plans though several of our neigbors did attend. The next day one of my neighbors called me laughing. Seems that I used to work with the wifes mother, she had been given the vase the year before and knew it was a one of a kind (man was I glad to hear that I'd hate to think there were others out there). Where we worked no one ever know who their secret Santa was. To say the least she was amazed to see it sitting at her daughters. I called her and we had a good laugh, and she said please don't tell my daughter but I still think it's the ugliest thing I ever saw.
