How to get my Dog & Cat to get along?
I have a 5 year old cat that I have had since kitten. We just got a boxer pup that we have had only a week he is 9 months old. The boxer is really well behaved and doesn't bother the cat to much, at times he does try to play with the cat but that is because the cat starts to hiss at him and slaps at him when he walks by then the cat will run and then the dog will chase after the cat. WHAT CAN I DO?
Most of the time if you just watch them closely they will work out who is the boss. If the puppy get wild the cat with slap him down and run. Eventually they will get along.
You will have more problems if you try to intervene. Just be sure they are not too rough and let them get used to each other.
