is a 12" downrod too short to hang my Hampton Bay Antigua (54") ceiling fan?
It seems like my fan is too far away from the ceiling. It looks like @10" from the ceiling and I'd like it as short as possible without being a ceiling hugger. The blades are set at a 15 degree angle. Thanks!
your fan should be 8 to 9 feet above the floor for the best possible air flow. the size of the down rod depends on the height of the ceiling. my down rod is six feet I'm guessing you have high ceilings and that's why the fan is so far down.
