I love making arts and crafts and would like to teach a kids art class from my home?
Would I need a business licence to do this? I'm a stay at home mom and it would be something fun I could do on the side. Would I need insurance? Not sure where to start and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you ahead of time.. and have a wonderful day !
If you plan on making money you probably do need a business license and you will have to pay gross receipts taxes and income taxes. Licenses vary by location, mine is only $25 per year. Get in touch with your local Small Business Center. They can usually help you in the planning phase for free.
