I have a tub/shower unit and the knob I pull to use the shower on the tub faucet is stuck. How to help?
It used to work and was difficult to pull and push back it. Now, it's stuck and I'm afraid I'll break something if I pull any harder. I imagine I could replace the faucet, but was hoping for a fix. Thanks
The diverter is seized. Unsrew the little chrome knob off the shaft, unsrew the chrome nut and Pull out the diverter. Replace with new one. Around 15 bucks. Note: in future turn off water before pushing in the diverter. This will increase it's life up to 50%. P.S before installing new diverter make sure no rubber pieces are left in the hole from the old one. Good luck.
