Can you use thumb-tacks to put up a wall mural?
I'm considering buying a wall mural that is 15X8 feet to hang on my living room wall. I live in a rental so wallpaper and adhesives are out. Can these huge posters be hung using simple thumb-tacks? I imagine that they come in segments, do they piece together like a puzzle? Thanks for your help!
I can easily putty up the thumb-tack marks because the walls are white, is there anything else to use that wont leave residue?
Thumb tacks will be fine. Just make sure that you strengthen the back of your picture as it might rip over time and after bumping, use thick tape and sick it to the back.
I use thumb tacks to hold up thick plastic and they work well. If you get upholstery tacks some have designs on the tops which adds detail and hides the obvious metal.
