The original feminists were very anti-abortion, so why are modern feminists very pro-abortion?

In contrast, modern feminists almost seem to want to make abortion compulsory. Why do the original feminists and modern feminists have such totally different views on abortion?
It shows how much the goals of feminism have changed since then. The only feminist organisation today that seems to keep the same values is Feminists For Life. I've thought before how ironic it is that many women now view unborn children in the same way that they fought against being viewed and treated themselves. The more I read about the women involved in first wave feminism, the more I relate to them... and I realise how far past equality we've come.
