Infant constipation....?
My 6 week old is on Prosobee and doing great except for yellow clay like mound stools and not going but every 3 days. I have been trying different formulas also prior to this giving 3-4 days in between trials. I like this formula and called my ped. and he said to give him pear juice as much as he wants, UNDILUTED. This strikes me funny as I have 2 other children and whenever giving them juice so young always had to dilute it with water! Anyway I did, and my baby is being very fussy and still has not gone! Can somebody tell me if they had the same problem with constipation and Prosobee and what did you do to help your baby go? Did it eventually go away? Did anyone ever try Good Start soy, I know the soy proteins are broken down, but would this make them less constipated? PLEASE HELP!
Put a little bit of Karo Syrup in the babies bottle. That should loosen up the stool.
