I need to replace my old wooden carriage doors on my garage what style should I get?
The kind where the whole door tilts up or the kind where the door's segmented and rolls up? I have a cross member 6 feet in back of the opening and 5" above the top of the door opening. Small old 1 car garage.
A sectional door w/ double low headroom track would work just fine. I've been in the garage door business since 1978 & have never been a big fan of the one-piece tilt-up doors & there used to be a lot of them in our area.
For one thing they don't seal very well at all & on some of them you can't open the door if someone parks a car to close to it on the outside.
