How do I start a small charity?
My friend and I always have little sales in my front yard, we sell stuff to our neighbors (and they almost NEVER buy our stuff) like flowers,crafts, and the last time we picked small, round, hard things off of trees and tried to sell them as decorative centerpiece beads to put in a candle holder. We would like to sell stuff, and with the money start a little charity. We would like to give some of the money to people that can't afford anything, and stuff like that. I have a little idea of something we can do. There is a thing where we live called Belpre Area Ministries and we can buy stuff and donate it, but we have a few questions
1) How do we start one???
2)What are some things we can sell?
3) How do we get people to come buy our stuff? (Without going door-to-door)

If you want to start a new legitimate charity, you need a lot of money and a lawyer!
Instead, donate to existing charities of your choice. There are more than enough charities in existence and no point spending money to create one. You'll do more good donating through existing charities. Plus you get a tax deduction.
