why are the leaves falling off? Also have some type of philodendron,would like to know how to care for it. when and how is the best way to prune crepe myrtles and roses?thankyou.
Umbrella leaves. If it an indoor plant then you will need to water log the pot in your tub so the soil gets soaked with water as after a while the soil in you pot seems to stop taking water and what ever you put in just runs out. Also once in while they should be showered in your shower to wash the leaves. They are a shade plant but they also need sun once in a while. So I would put in the part sun not full sun for a few hours. You may need to feed it or put it in a bigger pot. The other and last thing I can think of is it is to cold by a drafty window.
Roses can be cut back pretty good in the fall. But where you cut it determines which way it will grow. Always cut just above a bud and you also want to cut above a bud that is facing in the way you want the plant to grow. You also want to get rid of any flowers that have flowered this will make the plant produce more flowers for you. Cut the flower off where it come out of the plant main steam.
