Where is the best place to Vacation in Maine, in July?
I am leaving for Maine July 6th. There will be just 2 of us, both adults going (me and my mom). We plan on staying until the 14th. We don't want the city feel, we are looking for more of a quaint area, on the coast. We're not looking to visit the mountains or wooded areas really since we live in the Blue Ridge Mountains, so we get to see that kind of beauty all the time. We're looking to see some historic places, lighthouses, etc..Can you also give me any websites you may know of as well? We have gotten visitor's guides from a couple areas, and have considered: Boothbay Harbor and the Penobcost Bay area. Any suggestions? Help!

Bar Harbor, Rockland, Camden, Old Orchard, They are all by Oceans, and are basically little 'Beach' towns, with places to go...In Old Orchard, You can swim in the ocean, It has a pier and a small amusement park, Searsport......And since your going to Maine, You gotta go to Fort Knox, Which is a old Fort in Prospect, may not sound really fun, But it's kind of intreseting. .....
